West Sacramento Police Arrest Suspect Following Business Burglary
WEST SACRAMENTO, CA – Officers with the West Sacramento Police Department’s day shift patrol team responded to a report of a business burglary earlier this week near the intersection of Sacramento Avenue and Bryte Avenue. Upon arrival, department personnel conducted an initial investigation and determined that an individual had forced entry into the establishment. According to the reporting officers, the property stolen from the business consisted primarily of California State Lottery tickets.
The department initiated a coordinated effort with the California State Lottery to track the stolen items. This collaboration allowed law enforcement to identify the location of the individual suspected of the theft. Following the identification, officers located the suspect and took them into custody without further incident. During the arrest, West Sacramento Police recovered the stolen lottery tickets along with a significant quantity of cash.
The suspect was subsequently transported to the Yolo County Jail and booked on charges related to the incident. Department officials cited the response as a demonstration of the functional partnerships maintained between the police, the local community, and allied state agencies. The investigation concluded with the recovery of the stolen property, and the department has reiterated its intent to continue these collaborative safety efforts within the West Sacramento community moving forward into the new year.
