Six Arrested in Connection with Sex Trafficking Investigation in Shasta County
REDDING, CA — “On Saturday, December 13, 2025, the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office partnered with the Redding Police Department, the Shasta County District Attorney’s Office, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and an area hotel to conduct a human sex trafficking operation targeting the illegal sex trade. This operation was conducted to target the demand to purchase sex for sale.
During the operation, known prostitution websites were utilized to advertise commercial sex acts for sale to identify potential customers of the illegal sex industry. Prearranged services were set up at a local hotel. During the operation deputies communicated with approximately 150 people. Of those people, 6 were arrested as a result of the operation for arriving at the location. The remainder did not make appointments and were not contacted by undercover detectives.
The following were arrested during the operation:
34-year-old Cody Richard Kane, of New York, for solicitation of prostitution in accordance with 647(b) PC.
40-year-old Blake Yong Glasure, of Redding, for solicitation of prostitution in accordance with 647(b) PC.
34-year-old Justin Roy Mcamis, of Anderson, for solicitation of prostitution in accordance with 647(b) PC, and narcotics violations.
48-year-old Jason Dylan Kearney, of French Gulch for solicitation of prostitution in accordance with 647(b) PC.
50-year-old Russell Lee Garnes, of Redding, for 288.4(A)(1) PC arranging to meet a minor for sex, 288.4(B) PC Arrange/Go to meeting with a minor, 272(A)(1) PC contributing to the delinquency of a minor, narcotics violations, and a probation violation.
38-year-old Laura Nicole Henningsen, of Redding, arrived at the location with Garnes and was arrested for 272(A)(1) PC contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and narcotics violations.
All of these named suspects were booked into the Shasta County Jail for the above referenced charges.”
