Two Individuals Found Deceased from Gunshot Wounds in Chula Vista Apartment
CHULA VISTA, CA — Chula Vista Police Department (CVPD) officers located two deceased individuals inside an apartment early Tuesday morning following a report of a possible family disturbance and gunfire.
At approximately 2:22 a.m. on December 9, 2025, the CVPD Communications Center received a 9-1-1 call from a resident at the Kingwood Manor Apartments, located on Kingswood Drive in Chula Vista. The caller reported hearing sounds consistent with a family disturbance, which was immediately followed by a single gunshot.
Officers arrived at the scene within minutes and made contact at an apartment within the complex. Upon entry into the residence, officers discovered an adult man and an adult woman in a bedroom. Both individuals were deceased from apparent gunshot wounds.
A firearm was recovered from the scene by investigators. As of the time of the media advisory, law enforcement personnel have indicated there is no information suggesting the presence of any outstanding suspects related to the incident. Other residents were present within the apartment at the time and are reported to be cooperating fully with the ongoing investigation.
The man and woman were both in their 20s and are believed to have been residing together in the apartment. Their identities are currently being withheld pending the necessary notifications.
