Stabbing Suspect Arrested at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital
SAN FRANCISCO, CA — The San Francisco Police Department has initiated a homicide investigation following a stabbing incident at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center last week.
SFPD officers responded to the hospital on December 4, 2025, at approximately 3:04 p.m., regarding a stabbing that occurred around 1:39 p.m. Officials reported that an adult male suspect had stabbed a victim multiple times before being detained by the San Francisco Sheriff’s Department.
The victim was transported to a local hospital with injuries initially described as life-threatening. The individual was declared deceased at the hospital on December 6, 2025, two days after the incident.
Investigators subsequently developed probable cause to arrest 34-year-old Wilfredo Tortolero Arriechi of San Francisco. Tortolero Arriechi was booked into San Francisco County Jail on initial charges, including attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, mayhem, and being armed during the commission of a felony.
The SFPD Homicide Detail has taken the lead on the investigation and will be reviewing the case to update the charges. Authorities confirm the investigation remains open and active. Anyone with information is asked to contact the SFPD.
