Fresno Police Identify Suspect Wanted in Connection with Thanksgiving Day Shooting

FRESNO, CA — “On Thursday, November 27, 2025, at approximately 8:13 pm, Southwest Policing District officers responded to the area of East George Avenue and South Tupman Street regarding a six-round ShotSpotter activation.

When Officers arrived, they located a person sitting in his vehicle.

During the investigation, officers determined that the person in the vehicle was an Uber driver and had been a victim of a shooting.  The victim had picked up a male and a female for a ride.  Once the male and the female were inside the victim’s vehicle, they got into an argument with the driver. The male suspect slapped the victim and the victim told the suspects to get out of his vehicle. The victim started driving away, then told the suspect he was going to call the police.  The male suspect pulled out a handgun and shot toward the victim, but thankfully only grazed the victim’s head. The victim’s vehicle was also struck at least three times.

The victim was transported to CRMC and later released. Detectives have identified Maurice Session as the suspect responsible for the shooting.  Session is considered armed and dangerous.  If you know where Session might be located, do not attempt to detain yourself.  Call the Fresno Police Department immediately at (559) 621-7000 or Crime Stoppers at (559) 498-STOP (7867), www.valleycrimestoppers.org. All tips remain anonymous and you may be eligible for a cash reward if your tip leads to Session’s arrest.”
