TCSO K9 ‘Turbo’ Detects 90 Pounds of Methamphetamine During Traffic Stop, Leads to Further Seizures
TEVISTON, CA — “Around 2:30 a.m. on 11/20/25, a TCSO Deputy along with his K9 Partner, ‘Turbo’, conducted a traffic stop on Highway 99 and Avenue 24 in Teviston on a Silver Infiniti for a traffic violation.
During a search of the vehicle, K9 Turbo detected two large trash bags with about 90 pounds of meth inside. The driver, 29-year-old Joel Hernandez-Antunez, was ultimately detained. Detectives responded to help serve a search warrant at the suspect’s home, where three kilos of suspected cocaine were also seized.
Hernandez-Antunez was arrested and booked at the Tulare County Adult Pre-trial Facility for transportation of methamphetamine and possession for sales of methamphetamine and cocaine.
