Fairfield Man Arrested for Allegedly Driving Drunk, Fatally Striking Pedestrian

FAIRFIELD, CA — “This morning, November 18, at 1:29 am, a pedestrian-involved traffic collision occurred in the westbound lanes of the Travis Boulevard / Interstate 80 overpass near the offramp of eastbound Interstate 80.

The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Fairfield Fire Department and the Fairfield Police Department Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) responded.

The driver, identified as Kyle Dolcee, a 35-year-old Fairfield resident, remained on scene and was arrested and booked on suspicion of DUI.

The incident remains under investigation and charges may be modified or forthcoming as the investigation progresses.

The pedestrian’s name is being withheld pending notification of family.”
