Three Suspects Arrested in Violent Robbery Outside SF Supermarket on Stockton Blvd

SACRAMENTO, CA  — “The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office has arrested three suspects connected to a violent robbery that occurred on October 22, 2025, outside the SF Supermarket on Stockton Boulevard.

During the incident, a 57-year-old woman was loading groceries into her vehicle when a vehicle occupied by three males pulled up beside her.

A male juvenile exited the vehicle, grabbed the victim’s purse, and attempted to pull her toward the vehicle. As the victim struggled, the juvenile climbed back into the vehicle while still holding the purse. The suspect vehicle then sped away, dragging the victim briefly before she lost her grip and fell to the ground. The suspects fled with the victim’s purse.

Central Division POP deputies located the suspect vehicle several hours later at a residence in South Sacramento and secured it as evidence.

Today, Robbery detectives and Central POP deputies located and arrested all three suspects:

A male juvenile, 23-year-old James Freeman, and 22-year-old Anthony Richard, all of Sacramento.

Coincidentally, Richard was previously arrested a few weeks ago for a separate robbery case, also while going to court for an unrelated matter.

Both Freeman and Richard are ineligible for bail. Juvenile court information is not publicly available.

Anyone with additional information related to this investigation is encouraged to contact the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office at (916) 874-5115.
