San Francisco Man Arrested on Murder Charge Following 16th Street Shooting

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — San Francisco Police officers responded to a shooting incident on the 3000 block of 16th Street on November 16, 2025, at approximately 12:25 a.m. Upon arrival, officers located two individuals on the ground who were reportedly involved in an altercation and suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Officers rendered aid at the scene and requested paramedics.

Both victims were transported to a local hospital, having sustained injuries described as life-threatening. Medical staff efforts were unable to stabilize one of the victims, who was later declared deceased at the hospital. While processing the scene, officers located and seized a firearm.

The subsequent investigation led officers to information regarding a possible suspect located in the Visitacion Valley area. Officers responded to that location and took the suspect into custody without incident. The suspect was identified as 23-year-old Larry Hudgson Jr. of San Francisco. Hudgson was subsequently booked into the San Francisco County Jail and faces a charge of murder (187 PC).
