Motorcycle DUI Suspect Arrested After Chase, Struggle, and Biting Officer

MAMMOTH LAKES, CA – “On October 18, 2025, at approximately 7:24 pm, an Officer attempted to conduct an enforcement stop on a suspected DUI driver riding a motorcycle. The driver failed to yield, and a short vehicle pursuit ensued, terminating at a residence. The driver then fled on foot into the residence and was followed by the Officer. Once inside, the driver resisted arrest and a struggle ensued between the Officer and subject. The Officer was bitten in the arm while continuing to attempt to control the subject, who was eventually taken into custody.

The subject was booked into Mono County Jail on charges of a felony 69(A) PC Resisting an Officer by force/violence, plus two misdemeanors of 2800.1(A) VC Evading a Peace Officer, and 23152(G) VC DUI Alcohol/Drugs. The Officer was treated at the hospital for the bite wound, then completed the rest of their patrol shift.

Criminal charges are merely allegations of criminal conduct. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent until the contrary is proven beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.”
