Suspect Arrested Two Days After Robbing, Kidnapping 15-Year-Old Victim
RIALTO, CA – An adult male suspect has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery incident that occurred on September 22, 2025, in the 1100 block of North Willow Avenue. Police responded to the scene following reports of a robbery involving a 15-year-old victim.
The suspect, identified as 42-year-old Christian Uriel Ortiz, allegedly confronted the minor victim, demanding personal belongings. During the encounter, Ortiz reportedly struck the victim multiple times and held a knife to his neck. Additionally, the suspect is accused of restraining the victim and preventing him from leaving the location for an extended period before taking the victim’s personal property and departing the scene.
The Detective Bureau quickly pursued the case and located Ortiz two days later, on September 24, 2025. Ortiz was taken into custody without incident. At the time of the arrest, the suspect was reportedly in possession of some of the stolen property, which was subsequently recovered and returned to the victim.
Ortiz was booked into the West Valley Detention Center on several charges, including Robbery (PC 211), Kidnapping (PC 207(a)), False Imprisonment with Violence (PC 236), and Receiving Known Stolen Property (PC 496(a)). Law enforcement action resulted in the resolution of the case within a two-day timeframe.
