Motorist Arrested for Alleged DUI & Hit-and-Run in Oroville
OROVILLE, CA –– “On 9/13/25, at 12:48 PM, officers from the California Highway Patrol’s Oroville Area Office responded to reports of a traffic crash on SR-70, near Garden Dr. Witnesses reported that one of the involved vehicles, a white Ford Raptor with visible damage to the left side, fled the scene southbound on SR-70 before exiting at Nelson Ave., later turning eastbound.
CHP officers immediately began searching the Oroville area and later located the suspect vehicle traveling on Lower Wyandotte Ave. near Ophir Rd. Officers made a traffic stop on the vehicle, later contacting the driver at the Feather Falls Minimart and conducted an investigation. It was determined the driver was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
The driver was subsequently placed under arrest for driving under the influence and misdemeanor hit-and-run.

The victims of the crash were assisted by CHP at the scene, being safely escorted off the freeway, and fortunately did not sustain any injuries.”
