Cloverdale Man Arrested During Church Disruption
HEALDSBURG, CA — “On September 14, 2025, at approximately 2:26 PM, officers with the Healdsburg Police Department located an individual wanted in connection with a recent theft investigation. Officers were also aware that the subject was on active probation for multiple offenses, including prior incidents involving fleeing from and physically resisting law enforcement. Additionally, the individual had several outstanding warrants, including a felony warrant for burglary out of Sonoma County.
When officers attempted to contact the individual, he fled on foot. Officers pursued the suspect, who ran into St. John’s Church, where a service was actively underway. Officers quickly and safely removed the subject from the church despite his resistance.
Outside the church, the subject continued to physically resist arrest. Officers engaged in a physical struggle lasting approximately four minutes before successfully taking the individual into custody. The arrest occurred in the presence of several community members who had gathered in the area.
The suspect was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. He sustained no injuries during the incident. One officer sustained minor injuries.
The individual was arrested for the following charges:
-Felony resisting arrest with violence
-Possession of a controlled substance
-Possession of drug paraphernalia
-Multiple outstanding warrants
-Violation of probation
The subject was identified as Arturo Rodriguezherrera, a 40 year old Cloverdale resident.”
