Burglar Leads Deputies on High Speed Chase but is Finally Arrested

CAMARILLO, CA – August 27, 2025 – A convicted felon from Ventura is behind bars after leading deputies on a dangerous high-speed
pursuit through several cities in Ventura County last week.
The trouble began on the evening of August 18 when deputies from the Ventura County
Sheriff’s Office responded to a residential burglary in Camarillo.
According to Ventura County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Sgt. Craig Hennes, “jewelry, firearms, and irreplaceable family
heirlooms” had been stolen from the victim’s residence
Detectives with the Camarillo Special Enforcement Unit (SEU) promptly launched an investigation and soon identified 28-year-old
Isaac Tadeo of Ventura as “a person of interest.”
Just days later, on the evening of August 23, patrol deputies were dispatched once again to the
same home.
As they arrived, they spotted Tadeo “fleeing the neighborhood in a vehicle.” When
deputies tried to pull him over, Tadeo hit the gas.
The ensuing chase tore through Camarillo, Oxnard, and Ventura, with Tadeo “refusing to yield”
and ultimately abandoning the vehicle to successfully flee on foot.
In the early morning hours of August 24th, detectives executed a search warrant at Tadeo’s residence in the City of Ventura,
whereupon contact was made with him and he was taken into custody without incident.
During the execution of the search warrant, authorities recovered several firearms and numerous
items reported stolen in the Camarillo burglary. Tadeo also had an outstanding warrant at the
time of his arrest.
Tadeo was transported to Ventura County Jail, where he was booked on charges of evading a
peace officer, being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, and residential burglary,
with his bail set at $55,000.
