Inmate Found with Suspected Fentanyl During Sutter County Jail Booking
YUBA CITY, CA — The Sutter County Jail reported that an inmate brought into custody on unrelated charges was found to be in possession of a significant amount of suspected fentanyl.
According to officials, the discovery occurred during the booking process when correctional officers noticed the individual exhibiting unusual and evasive behavior. Their observations prompted a closer search, which revealed more than an ounce of suspected fentanyl.
The substance was immediately secured and booked into evidence. Authorities confirmed that additional charges have since been filed against the individual in connection with the narcotics possession.
