Man Arrested After Allegedly Attempting to Burn House with Parents Inside
SACRAMENTO, CA — “Just before 5 p.m. August 16, Sacramento Central Division Patrol Deputies responded to a residence on the 3600 block of 45th Avenue for a welfare check.

Deputies learned from family members that 37-year-old Somekitt Say got into an argument with his 80-year-old father, then tried to burn the house down with his elderly parents still inside.
Family members were able to put out the fire before emergency personnel arrived, and Say had fled on foot.
Responding deputies searched the area and located him a short distance away.
Say was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Sacramento County Main Jail. He is currently ineligible for bail.
