Traffic Stop in El Centro Leads to Methamphetamine Seizure
EL CENTRO, CA — ”On Sunday, August 10, 2025, at approximately 1615 hours, while driving through the city of El Centro, CA, a Deputy from the Imperial County Sheriff’s Office South County Station observed a vehicle fail to signal 100 feet before a turn.
The Deputy conducted a traffic enforcement stop on the vehicle and made contact with the driver, who displayed deceptive behavior. An El Centro Police Department K9 was contacted and the K9 alerted to the vehicle.
During a probable cause search, Deputies located 1.96 pounds of methamphetamine inside the center console.
The driver was arrested and booked for possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance for sales and transportation of a controlled substance.”
