Man Wanted on Felony Warrant Allegedly Caught with Illegally Modified Gun

VALLEJO, CA — “On August 1, 2025, officers from the Vallejo Police Department’s Patrol Division observed a man walking in the 200 block of Cardinal Lane. Recognizing him from previous encounters, the officers were aware he had an outstanding felony warrant for robbery from San Jose.

As officers attempted to make contact with him, the suspect immediately fled toward a nearby vehicle and entered the driver’s seat. When officers attempted to detain him, he physically resisted, ignored their commands, and tried to shift the vehicle into drive while reaching around inside.

The suspect eventually exited the vehicle, leading to a foot pursuit. Officers chased him and successfully apprehended him.

A search of the suspect’s vehicle revealed a loaded firearm equipped with a high-capacity magazine, located near the driver’s seat. The firearm had been illegally modified with a fully automatic conversion device commonly known as a “Glock Switch.” A records check confirmed that the firearm had been reported stolen out of Stockton.

Further checks on the suspect’s records showed that he was a convicted felon who resided in Suisun City, was recently released from jail on bail for two separate pending cases, and had an active robbery warrant for his arrest.

The suspect was transported to Solano County Jail on multiple felony charges. His vehicle was towed, and the firearm was booked into evidence.”
