One Suspect Arrested, Another Sought in Ivanhoe Shooting Investigation

IVANHOE, CA  —  On July 7, 2025, at approximately 5:15 p.m., Tulare County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of a shooting in the 33000 block of Road 159 in Ivanhoe. Upon arrival, deputies located a male victim with a gunshot wound to the head. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where medical personnel determined his injuries were not life-threatening.

Following an initial investigation, detectives identified two suspects: 32-year-old Rigoberto Lopez and 47-year-old Sotero Flores, both residents of Ivanhoe. On July 9, detectives located and arrested Flores in Ivanhoe. He was booked on a charge of attempted murder.
