EDSO Undercover Child Predator Investigation Leads to Arrest of School District Employee
EL DORADO COUNTY, CA — “Early last month, Detectives with the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office High Tech Crimes Unit (HTCU) began a month long undercover investigation. The investigation was the result of an undercover online profile that was solicited by 29-year-old Alejandro Figuerosa of Rancho Cordova. Mr. Figuerosa believed he was chatting with a juvenile female. Mr. Figuerosa drove to the El Dorado Hills Town Center on three occasions attempting to meet up with the juvenile.
During the investigation it was discovered that Mr. Figuerosa was employed with the Washington Unified School District in Yolo County. The School District as well as the West Sacramento Police Department were immediately contacted. At this time, NO victims have been identified at the school where he worked.
On July 3rd, 2025, Mr. Figuerosa was arrested and booked into the El Dorado County Jail Placerville with no bail on the following charges:
288.3(a) PC Contact a minor with intent to commit certain felonies
288.4(b) PC Arrange a meeting with a minor
288.2(a)(2) PC Harmful matter sent to a minor
311.4(C) PC Use underage person for obscene matter
664/207(B) PC Attempt Kidnapping
288.4(A)(1) PC Arrange a meeting with a minor
