FAIR OAKS, CA — “On Thursday, June 26, 2025, North Patrol responded to a stabbing on the 5500 block of Dewey Drive in Fair Oaks to the report of a stabbing.
An adult male victim was stabbed multiple times and staggered into a nearby church, where churchgoers immediately began to render aid and called 911.
North Patrol Deputies arrived on scene and continued emergency first aid, and the victim was transported to the hospital.
Due to the churchgoers’ and deputies’ quick action, the victim survived.
Deputies continued their investigation on scene and worked on identifying a suspect.
On the evening of June 27, North Patrol responded to a call for service for “threats with a knife” in progress call on the 6700 block of Madison Avenue, also in Fair Oaks.
Deputies quickly arrived on the scene and detained a male matching the suspect’s description in the call, later identified as 27-year-old Michael Brown.
Based on their investigation, Deputies learned Brown was also responsible for last night’s stabbing.
Brown was subsequently arrested on charges of assault with a deadly weapon, and transported to the Sacramento County Main Jail, where he is currently ineligible for bail. He is scheduled to appear in court on July 9.”
