Merced County Man Arrested for Allegedly Beating Neighbor to Death
MERCED, CA — “On June 13th, 2025, at approximately 08:18 PM, officers with the Merced Police Department were dispatched to the area of W. 25th and G St in the city of Merced regarding a report of a man down. Upon arrival, officers located a deceased male that was suffering from blunt force trauma.
Merced Police detectives responded and took over the investigation. Ultimately the investigation identified 59-year-old Theodore Arevalo as the responsible. Arevalo was involved in a neighbor dispute with the victim prior to the assault. Arevalo was booked into Merced County Jail for homicide.
