Sutter Creek Man Arrested on Possession of CSAM Charges Following Tip from NCMEC
SUTTER CREEK, CA — “Over the past month, the Sutter Creek Police Department has been actively investigating reports of child pornography being uploaded from within city limits. The investigation was launched after a tip was received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, reporting that a subject had uploaded more than two dozen child pornography images.
Through diligent follow-up, SCPD officers traced the upload to an apartment in Sutter Creek, where they identified the suspect—a 33-year-old male resident of Sutter Creek.
Multiple search warrants were executed, which led to the discovery of child porn.
The suspect, who was already in custody on domestic violence charges, has been formally charged with possession of child sexual abuse material.
The Sutter Creek Police Department takes these investigations extremely seriously. If you are engaging in these crimes, know this: it’s not a matter of if you get caught—it’s when. We will continue working with our law enforcement partners to protect the most vulnerable members of our community.
Reminder: All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
If you suspect child exploitation or abuse, please report it immediately to law enforcement or to NCMEC at missingkids.org.”
Thank you, SCPD”
