Fatal Shooting in Corona Believed to Be Gang-Related; Multiple Suspects in Custody

CORONA, CA —  “On June 7th, 2025, at 6:53 PM, Corona Police officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 500 block of Penrose Drive, Corona, and located a male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Officers quickly arrived on scene and located the victim. Officers immediately began life-saving measures. Despite these efforts, the victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The victim has been identified as Joesph Torres 29-years-old of Perris, CA.

The Department’s Investigative Services Division responded and assumed the investigation. Based on the preliminary investigation, this incident appears to be gang-related. Multiple suspects have been identified and taken into custody. Their names will not be released at this time as it remains an ongoing investigation.
