COTATI, CA — A Cotati man has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly stabbing another man last week.
According to the Cotati Police Department, officers responded on the afternoon of Monday, June 2, to Valparaiso Avenue for a report of a stabbing.
At the scene, officers rendered aid to an adult male who had suffered a stab wound. The victim told officers the person who’d stabbed him was still inside the residence.
From a safe distance, officers spoke with the suspect, who ultimately surrendered peacefully and without incident.
Both the victim and suspect were taken to local hospitals to be treated for injuries sustained during the attack, police said.
The suspect, identified as Finn Cook, 25, was medically cleared and later booked at the Sonoma County jail.
