Much of the stolen property was connected to several burglaries that occurred between February and May of this year in West Point and Mountain Ranch. Investigators also recovered a firearm that had been stolen during a residential burglary in Murphys in 2015, the sheriff’s office said.

During the search, authorities arrested 36-year-old Nicholas Harley Caspary and 46-year-old Tonya Elaine Rogers.

According to the sheriff’s office, both were booked on suspicion of possession of stolen property, being prohibited persons in possession of firearms, being prohibited persons in possession of ammunition, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of controlled substance paraphernalia.

Despite the arrests, the investigation is active and ongoing.

The sheriff’s office has said they will work with the District Attorney’s Office to begin contacting victims and returning their stolen property in the coming weeks.
