Three Arrested on Drug and Conspiracy Charges Following Traffic Stop in San Luis Obispo
SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA — “On Monday, May 26, 2025 at 2:49 am, an officer on patrol observed a car with expired registration traveling on Los Osos Valley Road at Madonna Road. The officer initiated the traffic stop and contacted the driver, Micah Ayhens. A records check of Ayhens indicated his drivers license was expired and he was on active bench probation with search terms. Individuals on probation with search terms means if they are stopped by law enforcement, they must submit to a search of their property and person.

The officer ordered Ayhens out of the vehicle and he refused several times. The sergeant attempted to unlock the door through a partially opened rear window, the passenger in the back seat, Rickter Marr, grabbed the sergeant’s arm to interfere with him unlocking the door. Another officer then took hold of the drivers’ side window, broke it off and unlocked the door. After a short struggle with Ayhens and Marr, they were both taken into custody.
The front passenger, Kiona Zamora, was also taken into custody.
Officers located an unlocked lock box on the floor of the front passenger side of the car. Inside the box was suspected methylenedioxymethamphetamine also known as “MDMA”, fentanyl, psilocybin mushrooms, methamphetamine, a digital scale, and a large quantity of small plastic bags commonly used to package narcotics. Several small bags of suspected fentanyl were also found on the floorboards, door panel and front seats of the car.
All three were booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail on the following charges:
