Baldwin Park Man Arrested for Alleged Possession of Materials, Components for Making Explosives

BALDWIN PARK, CA — Local police recently arrested a man after they allegedly discovered materials and components for making explosives during the service of a search warrant.

According to a press release, Baldwin Park police officers arrived on the 4000 block of Walnut Street to carry out a search and arrest warrant on Tuesday, May 27.

During the search, officers reportedly discovered “explosive-type components and materials,” prompting them to evacuate the immediate area.

The subject of the warrant, whose name has not been released, was arrested for the alleged possession of components to an explosive device.

The L.A. County Sheriff’s Department Bomb Squad responded to assist with removing the dangerous materials, police said.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
