Magalia Man on Post-Release Community Supervision Arrested for Allegedly Manufacturing Firearms
MAGALIA, CA — “On May 25, 2025, at approximately 5:20 p.m., a Butte County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) deputy assigned to the Magalia area contacted Micah Metzker, age 41, of Magalia, in the area of Guilford Circle. The deputy was familiar with Metzker and knew Metzker to be on Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS) from a previous case where Metzker was found to be involved in the manufacturing of firearms.
Due to Metzker’s PRCS status, Metzker’s person and property was subject to search by law enforcement. Deputies responded to Metzker’s residence, located in the 6000 block of Guilford Circle, to conduct a PRCS compliance search. During the search of Metzker’s residence, Metzker was found to be in possession of a .22 caliber revolver, an unsterilized AR-15 “80%” lower receiver that was in the process of being completed, multiple ballistic vests, Glock “Bullpup” conversion kits, firearm manufacturing equipment, firearm parts/accessories, ammunition, narcotic equipment, and illegal mortar style fireworks.
The Butte County Interagency Bomb Squad responded and collected the fireworks.
Metzker was placed under arrest and booked into the Butte County Jail for possession of a firearm and ammunition by a prohibited person, manufacturing of firearms, possession of body armor by a prohibited person, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of dangerous fireworks, and for being in violation of his PRCS terms of release.”
