SAN LEANDRO, CA — Police apprehended three suspects who allegedly fled from a burglary in
progress on May 15.
The suspects all from Oakland are Javier Romero-Flores, 21, Isaiah
Ruiz-Sandoval, 24, and Stephanie Sandoval-Ruiz, 24.
Though it seems there is more involved than just a burglary.
The burglary incident was followed by search warrants and additional suspects involving an
earlier home invasion robbery. San Leandro police Lt. Abe Teng said in a prepared statement.
“An investigation can quickly develop and branch into other cases involving new suspects.”
The burglary happened May 15 at an occupied residence on the 1400 block of Trojan
Avenue. San Leandro officers responded there at approximately 1:40 a.m.
When the police arrived at the scene all three suspects ran from the residence. SLPD
arrested Romero-Flores and Ruiz-Sandoval nearby, with help from Alameda County Sheriff’s
Office deputies, and a K-9 unit. The female suspect was apprehended later.
Romero-Flores and Ruiz-Sandoval are each charged with first-degree residential burglary,
and residential burglary while another person was present. Both men are also charged with
attempting to take great monetary value.
The woman suspect Sandoval-Ruiz faces various charges involving first-degree residential
burglary. She also faces additional charges involving participation in a home invasion robbery,
and carjacking on May 4.
The suspects stole personal items from the victims, and a car later
found abandoned.
Another burglary suspect, Ruiz-Sandoval is also implicated in the home invasion robbery that
happened on May 4. His charges are pending.
One more suspect was also arrested in connection with the home invasion robbery, 20-year-
old Isaias L. Jimenez-Garcia, of Oakland.
His charges include first-degree burglary and carjacking. Jimenez-Garcia also faces charges for another unrelated incident on May 14. This
case involves second-degree burglary of a vehicle and identity theft.
