Convicted Felon Arrested for Alleged Possession of Firearms in San Mateo

SAN MATEO, CA — “On May 11, 2025, SMPD began investigating reports of a known convicted felon who was in possession of firearms that likely did not belong to him and were displayed in plain view in the window of his residence. A search warrant was issued and later served yesterday, May 14, 2025, at 3pm on the residence in the 800 block of N. El Camino Real. A search of the residence yielded three firearms, ammunition, and a stun gun. All illegal to possess as a convicted felon. Robert Torres was arrested on these charges and booked into the San Mateo County Jail.
