Domestic Violence Call, Ensuing Stand-Off Ends with Man’s Arrest in Madera
COARSEGOLD, CA — “Shortly before 10:30pm on Saturday May 10, 2025, the Madera County Sheriff’s Emergency Communications Center received a 9-1-1 call regarding shots fired in the 31000 block of Road 400 in Coarsegold. Dispatch operators could hear a female screaming in the background.
Deputies arrived in the area and located the female victim, who was safely sheltered at a nearby residence. The suspect was identified as 34 year old Forrest Hall, and it was reported that during the confrontation, he fired multiple rounds and left the location in his vehicle.
Hall’s vehicle was quickly located at his residence in Coarsegold. After failing to comply with repeated requests to exit the residence, the Madera County Regional SWAT Team, Crisis Negotiators & Drone Team responded to the scene. Despite numerous attempts from negotiators to get Hall to exit peacefully, the SWAT Team had to utilize various tactical techniques, including gas deployments inside the residence. Following a 7 hour stand off, Hall eventually exited the residence through a window and was taken into custody. He was booked into the Madera County Jail on felony charges of attempted murder, assault with a firearm, and resisting arrest.”
