Humboldt County Man Wanted on Felony Warrant Allegedly Caught with Bag of Heroin

HOOPA VALLEY, CA — A man wanted on a felony warrant was arrested after suspected heroin was found in his vehicle, authorities say.
According to a press release by the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office, a Hoopa Valley Tribal Police officer and a Humboldt County sheriff’s deputy conducted a vehicle investigation on the night of April 17 along Highway 96, just south of Loop Road.
Inside the vehicle, they contacted Darin Byron Marshall Jr., 41, of Hoopa. Officers reportedly discovered that Marshall had an outstanding felony warrant and arrested him at the scene.
While searching the vehicle, officers allegedly found several items of drug paraphernalia and approximately 7 ounces of suspected heroin.
Marshall was booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility on suspicion of the possession of a controlled substance for sale and failure to appear on a felony charge.
