FOLSOM, CA — “In the early morning hours of April 11, 2025, Folsom Police responded to two separate vehicle burglaries within the city.
At the time, no suspect or suspect vehicle information was available.
Shortly after, one of the victims discovered their stolen credit cards were being actively used across multiple businesses in Sacramento County.
The Folsom Problem Oriented Policing (POP) Unit took the lead on the investigation and worked closely with local businesses to obtain and analyze surveillance footage. Their efforts paid off — the video evidence identified both the suspect and their vehicle.
Officers tracked the vehicle to the 12100 block of Tributary Lane in Gold River, where they set up surveillance.
With careful coordination, they moved in and safely arrested 37-year-old Darius Huerta without incident. Multiple items of stolen property were located and recovered at the scene.
Huerta was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on the following charges:
459 PC – Burglary
530.5(A) PC – Identity Theft
484g PC – Fraudulent Use of an Access Card
3455(A) PC – Violation of Post-Release Community Supervision”
