Shasta County Authorities Reportedly Discover Packages of Methamphetamine, Loaded Shotgun During Probation Check

“On Tuesday, January 21, 2025, the Shasta County AB109 team along with the Shasta Interagency Narcotics Task Force (SINTF), and Officers with Shasta County Probation, conducted a series of probation compliance checks throughout Shasta County. Deputies contacted 48-year-old, Daryl Ray Clarke at is his residence on the 5000 block of Erma Ln., Anderson. During a search of Clarke’s residence Deputies located a loaded shotgun near his bed, several glass smoking pipes commonly used to ingest narcotics, multiple packages of methamphetamine and a large amount of U.S. Currency. Clarke is convicted felon and is prohibited from owning or possessing firearms or ammunition. Clarke also has multiple narcotics related convictions.
Clarke was arrested and booked into the Shasta County Jail on charges of: 29800 PC – Felon in Possession of a Firearm, 30305 PC – Felon in Possession of Ammunition, 11378 H&S – Possession of Narcotics for Sales, 11364 H&S – Possession of Narcotics Paraphernalia, 11395 H&S – Possess of Narcotics with Prior Convictions, 11370.1 H&S – Possess of Narcotics While Armed ,1202.2 PC – Probation Violation.
Clarke’s bail is set at $50,000.”
