Healdsburg Man Wanted on Suspicion of Attempted Murder

“WANTED ATTEMPTED MURDER SUSPECT
On Tuesday, April 30th, at about 9:45 PM, Healdsburg Police received a call of a victim who had been attacked in the parking lot of the Healdsburg Community Center. Officers arrived and contacted a victim who had reportedly been attacked by a subject with a knife. Officers learned that the victim had been sitting in his vehicle in the parking lot of the Community Center when he noticed the suspect in the parking lot slashing vehicle tires. When the victim exited his vehicle, he was confronted by the suspect who attempted to stab the victim with a knife. During the ensuing struggle the victim sustained a cut to his hand. The victim was able to get away and was chased a short distance away by the suspect, who eventually fled into the creek bed that runs along the Foss Creek Pathway. Officers were unable to locate the suspect after an extensive approximately 3 hours long search with the assistance from Deputies with the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office and CHP’s helicopter.
Through investigation Officers identified the suspect as 29-year-old Damian Martinez Osorio (AKA: Gael Leon) of Healdsburg. Martinez Osorio is wanted on suspicion of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, and the vandalism of multiple vehicles. BUSCADO SOSPECHOSO DE INTENTO DE ASESINATO
El martes 30 de abril, alrededor de las 9:45 PM, la Policía de Healdsburg recibió una llamada de una víctima que había sido atacada en el estacionamiento del Centro Comunitario de Healdsburg. Los agentes llegaron y se pusieron en contacto con una víctima que, al parecer, había sido atacada por un sujeto con un cuchillo. Los agentes supieron que la víctima estaba sentada en su vehículo en el aparcamiento del Centro Comunitario cuando vio al sospechoso en el aparcamiento rajando las ruedas del vehículo. Cuando la víctima salió de su vehículo, se enfrentó al sospechoso, que intentó apuñalarla con un cuchillo. Durante el forcejeo, la víctima sufrió un corte en la mano. La víctima pudo escapar y fue perseguida a corta distancia por el sospechoso, que finalmente huyó hacia el lecho del arroyo que discurre a lo largo del sendero del arroyo Foss. Los agentes no pudieron localizar al sospechoso tras una larga búsqueda de aproximadamente 3 horas con la ayuda de agentes de la oficina del sheriff del condado de Sonoma y del helicóptero de la CHP.
A traves de la investigacion los oficiales identificaron al sospechoso como Damian Martinez Osorio (alias: Gael Leon) de 29 anos de edad de Healdsburg. Martínez Osorio es buscado como sospechoso de intento de asesinato, asalto con un arma mortal, y el vandalismo de varios vehículos.
