“On March 6th at around 1130 at night, RCPD Officers responded to the area of Lincoln and El Camino Real on the report of shots fired. They located a vehicle occupied by two subjects. They told officers that they had encountered an individual at the corner who, for unknown reasons, pulled out a handgun and fired it at them. Their vehicle had been struck three times, including two rounds near the driver’s compartment. Neither occupant was hit. The suspect was gone when officers arrived.

RCPD Detectives conducted extensive follow up and determined the shooter to be Redwood City resident Alan ViverosLara (21). On April 3rd, detectives located ViverosLara and arrested him. A search warrant was served at his residence and the handgun used in the shooting, a Glock 27 .40 caliber, was located.

ViverosLara was booked into the San Mateo County Jail for the shooting and other charges.”
