A Humboldt County gym owner has reportedly been arrested for the alleged sales of illegally imported testosterone.

According to a press release by the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office, the county’s Drug Task Force identified 37-year-old Tyler Johnathan Parr as a suspect in connection with an investigation into the alleged sales of testosterone which had been illegally imported from China.

The investigation began in late 2023, according to authorities.

On April 3 of this year, agents served a search warrant at Parr’s home on G Street in Eureka. Agents reportedly discovered various forms of testosterone.

Parr, who was detained at the scene, admitted to selling the testosterone and to receiving it in the mail from China, authorities said.

Parr was ultimately booked at the Humboldt County Correctional Facility on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance for sales.
