Authorities in Yolo County recently arrested two individuals and confiscated a cache of illegal firearms, some of which were ghost guns or guns with altered serial numbers.

According to a press release by the Davis Police Department, on March 6, authorities served a search warrant at a home on the 600 block of Eakle Lane in Woodland, which led to the discovery of 28 firearms.

Several of these firearms had been reported stolen from Vacaville and Fairfield, some where non-serialized, privately made “ghost guns,” and others had altered serial numbers.

Several assault weapons, high-capacity magazines, and ammunition were also confiscated, police said.

Law enforcement also reportedly discovered about an ounce of suspected cocaine, as well as paraphernalia suggesting possible drug sales.

Authorities also arrested two individuals at the home.

Darrin Dodd, 51, was arrested on suspicion of possession of an assault weapon, theft of a firearm, manufacturing a non-serialized firearm, and possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number.

Dustin Dodd, 24, was arrested on suspicion of possession of narcotics and carrying a concealed firearm in a vehicle.

Both individuals were booked at the Yolo County jail.
