“On 11/06/2023, deputies responded to a theft from a construction site in Granite Bay. The suspect stole a trailer containing a new Bobcat skid steer valued at approximately $90,000. At the time, we had no information about the suspect or the suspect’s vehicle.

Our patrol deputies quickly located leads and deputies were able to recover the trailer and Bobcat in Rio Linda within hours of the theft. After recovering the stolen property, detectives continued working on identifying a suspect.

Recently, detectives were able to identify and arrest 40-year-old Joshua Nelson from Rio Linda. We are always pleased to recover stolen property and eventually make an arrest in cases like these to bring closure to the victims.”
