“We can’t stress it enough – no traffic stop is ever routine for law enforcement, and certainly not for deputies in Placer County.

A recent traffic stop made along Baseline Road in West Roseville by one of our deputies revealed a disturbing find below the passenger seat of the suspect’s vehicle. The deputy located a firearm with one round in the chamber, along with a black magazine containing two rounds and a box with seven rounds of ammunition. The suspect driver, identified as 41-year-old Khamphanh Keosodsay, was arrested for being a felon in possession of a firearm and being a prohibited person in possession of ammunition. We are grateful no one was hurt during this interaction and that we were able to take another firearm off the streets from a convicted felon.”
