Yuba County Man Arrested for Alleged Assault, Unlawful Weapons Possession

“Yesterday, deputies arrested James Alan Thornton (age 63) for a number of gun charges after being called to his residence on Nero Road in Brownsville for an alleged assault. Thornton was booked at the Yuba County Jail for being a felon in possession of firearms and ammunition, the manufacturing of firearms without serial numbers, possession of high capacity magazines, and the manufacturing of a short barreled shotgun.”
