“On Monday, July 3, 2023, at 7:41 pm, we received a call of a hit and run collision. A citizen reported a black Range Rover had collided with a parked vehicle in the 100 block of Payran Street. The driver of the Range Rover left the scene of the collision failing to take responsibility for their actions.

Officers quickly responded to the area and were able to locate a parked unoccupied Range Rover with heavy damage in the 700 block of North Kentucky Street. The registered owner of the vehicle was determined to have an address in the area. Officers were able to contact the owner of the Range Rover at his residence and determined he was the driver responsible for the colision.

The driver was identified as Scott Corda (54-year-old Petaluma resident). Upon contact with Corda, he displayed objective signs of being under the influence of alcohol. Corda was arrested and later found to have a blood alcohol concentration of nearly four times the legal limit.

A records check of Corda revealed he was also on active probation from previous DUI conviction. He was transported to the Sonoma County Jail where he was booked on multiple charges including DUI and hit & run.”
