The Pleasant Hill Police Department has announced the arrest of two suspects in connection with the shooting death of Oscar Laredo-Arellano of Concord.

According to a department press release, the incident took place on Monday, April 3, in the parking lot of Farrington’s Bar, resulting in multiple 911 calls.

Responding law enforcement officers discovered the deceased body of Oscar Laredo-Arellano, 37. The investigation revealed that the shooting occurred following an alleged dispute between two groups. Andre Barocio Jr., a 34-year-old resident of Hercules, was identified as the primary suspect in the shooting.

A warrant for his arrest was issued by a Superior Court Magistrate, but it was later determined that Barocio had fled the state and was believed to have relocated to Mexico.

Angelo Delacruz, a 31-year-old resident of Antioch, was identified as an additional suspect. In late April, Delacruz was located and arrested in Douglas County, Nevada. Following his arrest, he was extradited from Nevada and booked into the Martinez Detention Facility.

Efforts to locate Andre Barocio Jr. continued, with the assistance of Federal Law Enforcement and State Police in Mexicali, Mexico. On May 22nd, Barocio was apprehended in Mexico and returned to the United States at the Calexico Border Crossing in Imperial County, California. He was transported to and booked at the Martinez Detention Facility.

The Pleasant Hill Police Department worked in close collaboration with law enforcement partners at the county, state, and federal levels throughout the investigation, leading to the apprehension of both suspects. It was unclear at press time whether either of the suspects had retained an attorney.

The arrests of Andre Barocio Jr. and Angelo Delacruz represent significant progress in the ongoing investigation. The Pleasant Hill Police Department acknowledges the coordinated efforts and cooperation among the various law enforcement agencies involved in the case.

No additional suspects are currently at large in connection with the homicide.
