“This afternoon at approximately 12:55 PM, Officer Gutierrez was patrolling through a residential neighborhood in the city of Galt, when he noticed a house on fire. Officer Gutierrez called it in to Dispatch, went inside and cleared the house of 1 teenager, 3 children, 1 dog and 1 cat, before the Cosumnes Fire Department were able to arrive on scene and put out the fire. Soon after, the parents who left quickly to the store, arrived on scene and were re-united with their family.

Officer Gutierrez works out of the South Sacramento office but is currently assigned to the CHP – Valley Division Community Response Team (CRT), also known as the POP Team.”
