Suspect Arrested in Connection to Armed Robbery in Fall River

The Shasta County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of a suspect in connection to a robbery that took place on the evening of Thursday, February 16th, 2023, at the Dollar General Store on Highway 299 E in Fall River.

According to a press release by the Sheriff’s Office, the suspect brandished a black and silver colored handgun and left with a grocery cart containing various items. The suspect was last seen getting into a gold-colored Buick sedan and leaving the area.

Deputies from the Burney Station were dispatched to the scene and located the suspect’s vehicle at a nearby residence. The suspect was soon identified as Randolph Starks, age 28, of McArthur. Deputies from the Lassen County Sheriff’s Office assisted in locating Starks in the area of Old Highway Road near Highway 299 E, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies reportedly found clothing consistent with video surveillance from the store, as well as matching grocery items recovered where Starks was located. Starks was arrested and booked at the Shasta County jail on suspicion of robbery.
