Multi-Agency Gang Investigation Leads to Eight Arrests, Seizure of Numerous Firearms
San Francisco police investigators have arrested several individuals and confiscated multiple firearms and other evidence amid an ongoing investigation by SFPD’s Community Violence Reduction Team.
According to a media release by the Police Department, the investigation began with the service of a search warrant in East Palo Alto back in April of this year. The warrant reportedly led to two arrests and the seizure of numerous items, such as firearms and electronic devices, and ultimately escalated to a broader, multi-agency investigation into a criminal street gang known to operate throughout the Bay Area.
On November 16, CVRT and the Strategic Investigations Bureau — in coordination with several other law enforcement agencies including the San Francisco DA’s Office, South San Francisco PD, Hayward PD, Daly City PD, Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office, and more — served another seven search warrants in multiple cities across the Bay Area.
In addition to the warrants, authorities arrested another eight people in connection with numerous alleged crimes including shootings, armed robberies, and carjackings.
The individuals are identified as Ajay Balaoro (25) of Vallejo; Amari Green (18), Xavier Garcia (18), and Daniela Eaton (36), all of San Francisco; Reno Fiapoto (23) of Fairfield, Ramone Fiapoto (21) of East Palo Alto, and Tahmon Wilson (20) of Richmond. An unidentified 22-year-old woman was also arrested and turned over to U.S. Marshalls on multiple outstanding warrants, police said.
Bolaoro, Green, Garcia, Eaton, and Wilson were booked into jail on gang and weapons charges, while Reno and Ramone Fiapoto were booked on outstanding warrants. The investigation remains active and ongoing, police said.
