“On Thursday, August 18th, at approximately 2 p.m., Galt PD Officers were requested to assist the US Marshals Fugitive Task Force with serving an arrest warrant on an outstanding homicide suspect from Georgia.

During the investigation, Alantae Richardson, 24, of College Park, GA, was located in front of the residence and safely arrested. Another male, identified as Dexter Weeks, 33, of Galt, was arrested after the Elk Grove/Galt Regional SWAT team and US Marshalls entered the home.

Richardson was arrested on his outstanding warrant, felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a unregistered firearm (ghost gun), possession of high capacity magazines, and felon in possession of ammunition.

Dexter was arrested for felon in possession of a firearm, possession of high capacity magazines, and felon in possession of ammunition, and a parole violation.

We would like to thank the US Marshals Fugitive Task Force and Elk Grove Police Department for their teamwork to ensure the incident ended in a safe manner.”
