Placer County man arrested on lewd acts, child pornography charges

A Placer County man was recently arrested on suspicion of lewd and lascivious acts with a minor, among other charges.

40-year-old Regino Ausencio of Lincoln, whom police say works in the wedding business, is accused of making sexual comments and becoming aggressive towards a 14-year-old boy he’d recruited in June to help with translation services.

The victim told his parents, and his parents contacted the Sheriff’s Office. Detectives began communicating over text with Ausencio while posing as the victim, during which Ausencio allegedly requested inappropriate photos.

Detectives then arranged a meeting at a local park, and took Ausencio into custody when he arrived, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Ausencio was booked on multiple felony counts of lewd and lascivious acts with a minor and directing a minor to produce child pornography. He remains in custody without bail, the Sheriff’s Office said.
