“On 05-24-2022 at 7:59 P.M. Mendocino County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a reported domestic violence incident in the 3500 block of Highway 253 in Ukiah, California.
The Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center advised the Deputies the involved female was located at a call box on Highway 253.
The Deputies located the female on Highway 253 and while talking to her, they observed she had visible injuries to her arm and head.
Deputies learned her ex-boyfriend, Jon Rickel, had pushed her which caused her to fall and sustain an injury.
The Deputies responded to Rickel’s residence where they contacted him inside the residence. The Deputies continued their investigation and developed probable cause to believe Rickel caused the injury to the female and that Rickel and the female had been in a dating relationship prior to this incident.
The Deputies arrested Rickel for 273.5 PC (Felony Domestic Violence Battery) and 368(B)(1) PC (Misdemeanor Elder or Dependent Adult Abuse) due to the female’s age.
Rickel was booked into the Mendocino County Jail where he was to be held in lieu of $50,000.00 bail.”
